Need some help with a university paper.
I need to know how many E2s and F4s are teaching in Korea, now and historically (if possible, so show a trend). Have found some articles but they are all so different. The source of your numbers is a must (thank you for your understanding).
Also, please participate in my poll. I don't think the information is any where on the net.
Have a nice day!!! |

Poke around on the immigration website. The numbers are there broken down by year, visa class, origin of applicants and gender dating back to the late 90s and up to 2009 (latest year stats are available for).

The title of your post and the content seem to have little to do with each other.
I got my first job in Korea by going to my university's "Career Services" department and asking them what postings that had for overseas teaching jobs. I don't remember right now how many overseas job ads they had, but I applied with a Korean recruiter and a Japanese recruiter. I got job offers from both places and picked Korea more or less as the result of a (metaphorical) coin toss.
That was in 1995, so it was before the widespread use of the net for job searches. |

If this is supposed to be an actual means of data collection for a class, it's terribly done and will not provide any valid data. |

You are missing many other options. I know people that followed a girl friend or boy friend over. Some got recommended by friends.
Me, my father was working here and convinced me to come over. I gave it try. Damn, and got stuck. |

Landed here with a gyopo buddy in 99. His brother was already here. Started as a post university trip and ended up liking it so much, I stayed.
The job itself was through my buddy's brother. |
