As a fan of the old comics, I thought Spidey was great, but Peter Parker wasn't "nerdy-bookworm" enough.

Also, I would have preferred a more frail Aunt May.

Saw it today. Better than the flaming pile of shite that was Spiderman 3, but not as good as Spiderman 1and 2 IMO. I thought Doc Octopuss was a great Villain, as was The Green Goblin. Also, I'm not sure which Peter Parker i liked more - the nerdy Toby Maguire or the new sassy version. Still, like any comic book adaptation, it is childish escapism and I enjoyed it.
