I am new to this area and was wondering what there is to do in this glamorous hub of enjoyment and leisure. So far, I know about Homeplus and the cassette tape store.

There is some bizarre ultra-liberal clique of foreigners in Samcheonpo, probably best avoided if you desire intelligent conversation. Luckily they aren't that social or friendly to begin with, so it should be easy to not get mixed up with that undesirable lot.

As for where foreigners hang out, no one knows. Maybe the cassette store.

Wow, Metalhead, you sure sound like a Hateseverybody McGillicutty. Maybe if you'd replace all of that Metallica you listen to with ABBA, you'd feel a little happier about the world.

Anyway, Metalhead, it sounds like you've been around the block. I was wondering if you knew a good place to get some coat hangers. I can't seem to find them anywhere! Do Koreans only use dressers?

Did you happen to notice if they are wooden or plastic coat hangers? I can't use wooden ones because I am allergic to cedar, so I am concerned. Some of the plastic ones have wood in them, so it can be precarious.

Saw some plastic ones yesterday but they escaped before I got to them.

Further along from Baskin Robins is another supermarket that has plastic ones and.....stick deodorant. It's almost opposite the other Paris Baguette place.

I think you might have them mixed up with something else. I don't think they sell real coat hangers in Korea. Those are probably for shirts and pants.

Koreans don't wear coats, so why would they have coat hangers here to begin with? Perhaps if you did some research before coming here OP you'd know that Korea does not have coat hangers, or free range potatoes. These things are pretty easy to discover if your home country has the Internet.

After some further research I have learned that Samcheonpo has a chicken restaurant. They sell chicken in boxes so you don't burn your hands when you buy it. It might be very convenient in case you leave your gloves at home when you go out shopping for cooked chicken.

Honestly, Metalhead, I find your generalizations racist and ignorant. Don't you have anything better to do than troll these forums? Some of us here are looking for answers, and you aren't helping. There's going to be trouble if I ever see you around Samcheonpo.

Nothing racist or ignorant about what I've said. Having been here for more than six weeks now, I can honestly say I have not seen a single Korean wearing a coat, and I've had my eyes peeled. Ergo, they do not wear coats.

If you're still on the lookout for trouble, I've heard from a good source that there is a LARP group in not only Namhae but one in Samcheonpo too, so we can sort our differences out on the battlefield if you'd like, with halberds at side and cast spells in the air between us, like real men. I just hope you have a decent lightning bolt ward up your sleeve or your vacation in Samcheonpo will be short-lived.
