Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, (Pomminryon) went back to south Korea across the demarcation line in Panmunjom on Thursday. Ro had come to the DPRK on March 24 to take part in commemorations for the 100th day since the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.
Officials of the DPRK accompanied him to Panmunjom to see him off. Among them were Choe Jin Su, chairman of the North Headquarters of Pomminryon, and officials of the North Headquarters of Pomminryon and the Pan-national Alliance of Youth and Students for Korea's Reunification and the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration.
People, including youth and students, in Kaesong city thronged Panmunjom to give Ro a hearty send-off.
As Ro arrived in the yard of Panmun Pavilion, the crowd warmly greeted him, waving Korean Peninsula flags.
A girl student presented him with a bunch of flowers.
Ro said good-bye to the officials of the DPRK.
At 3 p.m. he crossed the demarcation line with a strong resolution and with the Korean Peninsula flag in hand. South Korean men in plain clothes hurriedly took him away.
The farewell-bidders shouted slogans "Down with Lee Myung Bak group of traitors!", "Let Mr. Ro Su Hui go home!" and "U.S. and south Korean conservative authorities must halt at once such human rights abuse as blocking Vice-Chairman Ro Su Hui!"

That was awesome!
What would have been better is to have seen all those people charge across the border chanting, yelling and screaming.
On a side note...if they ever unify it would be very difficult to draw the new kind of flag. Man all those jagged edges and stuff. |

The South Koreans guards should have thrown him back. |

I would have loved to have seen him denied entrance. |

Why couldn't they be civil with the guy?
He must have arranged to go to the DPRK at the embassy in china, otherwise they would have started shooting at him at the border. |

Perhaps because he was resisting arrest. You're familiar with the concept of arrest, I trust. Here's an experiment for you to conduct in your home country: go in front of a police station after you've informed the police of your intent to commit what's considered a serious crime in your home country and then resist when you're arrested while in the commission of said serious crime. How gentle do you think the police are going to be with you?

How he managed to get into North Korea is irrelevant. The issue is that he entered that country in violation of South Korean law. |
