Well, after a week, my recruiter got back to me on the school. She wrote "the school is considering other candidates for the job."
Makes me wonder...

Sounds like they have decided to hire someone else.

First day when you move in, find a hardware store (철물점) and buy tubes of silicon sealant and a caulking gun. There will most likely be an insect problem at the apartment that you'll want to take care of immediately. Bugs crawling around are just fine for Koreans; they will even think you're weird for talking to the school about it. Just handle it ASAP.

Please tell me what are silicon sealant and a caulking gun and how to use them. I have huge insect problem at my Villa

Wow. Not only did you hijack a thread, on a different topic, but it was from a year ago.

Anyway, I think that you can easily Google this topic. If not here's a starter.

No, they don't think you're weird for talking about it. They just don't want to move their lazy a$$ to deal with it. As long as their apartments are nice and modern and yours is a dump, it isn't their problem.

Lawrenceville International Academy seems to be hiring again. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm currently in Korea and wouldn't mind meeting for a job interview.

You do talk out of your butthole sometimes pastor. My wife would not tolerate bugs in our place in Busan, neither would her mother, her brother, all her friends. So that was nonsense OP, Koreans are not fine with bugfs crawling around their homes.

The LANDLORD may be cheap and REFUSE to pay to fix for a bug problem, that does tend to happen with landlords and expenses for buildings..oh wait that is not a Korean thing at all, never mind.

As for the job, well I agree about asking for picture of the apt. The school will be new and that will lead to some level of chaos as it would for any new business so you have to be ready to deal with this. the owner may be stressed about student enrollment until that stabilizes.

Personally, I would not chose to work for a place that was just opening unless it was part of a larger chain or unless I was sure it was a solid business that would do reasonably well.

The fact that the school is just opening and they actually talked to you about where your Apt. will be sort of indicates they will offer you the job. Although I wouldn't necessarily count on it. If they don't email you back in a couple of days start looking again.

OP this sounds like the makings of the typical 'bait and switch' type of recruiter trick. The 'school hasn't opened yet' routine is common. Keep looking.

I think more specifically its a matter of getting stuck in older and dumpier apartments. Newer and well built apartments and villas ought not have this problem, unless the owner's a d!k who cut corners while building the place.
