OK. Thought my friend's girlfriend was real cool. I was introduced to her by him and his girlfriend. So I take her out and man it was awful. Her attitude and personality was a total change from when I briefly was introduced to her. We get to the restaurant and I'm thinking I don't even want to be here. So I said I had to use the restroom and from there I just slipped out the front door and then hit the ground running.
She sees me the next day walking and man she was steamed but I'm like "Listen honey, nobody treats me like that". I threw in a bit more severe unmentionables. What a head case.
Any other first date disasters? |

Yea right. This did not happen, or you are really a horrible person and deserved to get reamed the next day when she saw you. This is so unbelievable though. How did she see you the next day? By chance just walking around the street?
If you want to know about others' first dates, just make a thread stating so, you don't have to make one up to get the ball rolling.
Furthermore, I think we all know your personality by now, you wouldn't have just left the restaurant as you claim--you would have probably stalked her all the way home to her house and try to nudge your way in the door to sing her some weird lullaby and tuck her in for bed. |

She saw me because she knew the area where I lived. Plus the fact this was in a small town.
In terms of stalking her that is totally unnecessary. It was my friend's girlfriend's friend so I figured why not just take her out and see where it leads. I wasn't too thrilled about it because first of all she was too tall - not taller than me but still too tall and second she was too old - not older than me but still too old. |

Sounds like you're the head case. |

You ask her out and then decide to ditch her in the restaurant after a short while on your first date, without even making a polite excuse, and she's the headcase? Unless she was cutting herself or something at the table it sounds like you've got the problem. There's probably a thread on some other message board wherein she's citing you as an exemplar of the worst kind of first date... |

Either you are trolling hard or batsh*t insane.
In either case, I don't think anyone will be inclined to share with you |

Man I thought this wasn't that big of a deal thing that I did. I mean I ain't violent or nuthin' but I don't care about causing very embarrassing scenes or circumstances. This is "lightweight" compared to my other adventures. |

OK I'll bite, since you say this was "lightweight" what other things have you done on dates? Punch a girl out in public, spit in a girls face AND make her pay for dinner? |

Maybe "batsh*t insane" was an overstatement.
However, if you don't see how that was much more of a "first date disaster" for your date than for you, you should probably seek counseling. Isn't it possible that she thought the same about you and wanted to ditch, but didn't out of respect for you and your mutual friend?
Never mind, I don't mean to turn this thread into accusations and defenses of your story. But maybe you can understand my perspective a bit better anyway. |

and by the way say goodbye to any more blind dates or hook ups from your friend--or any mutual friends when this story breaks. |

comedy gold.
And what's wrong with tall? Isn't that usually a positive thing?
Not exactly a disaster. A disaster is something like when you get to the motel and then suddenly food poison kicks in. Or she sees her ex at the restaurant and starts throwing her shoes at him and his buddies. Or she invites a random friend and that friend is an ex of yours from a year ago. |
