I've been in Korea for a little over 6 months, my boss has started interviewing people to replace me. Apparently I am too serious a teacher for my kindy, elementary school. I like it here and want to stay. What are my options?

Can I get a transfer or will I need to do a visa run? If I need to do a visa run am I able to go to immigration and get copies of my documents or no?

If you can secure a job before your boss finds your replacement, you can easily transfer to the new one without any problems.

If not, you can get your boss to give you a LOR (Letter of Release) transferring you over to a D-10 visa, which gives you 6 months to secure another job without the hassle of obtaining your documents again.

If either doesn't work out, your only option is to leave the country, get your documents again, and find another job.

Also, having been here for six, does that mean I can get 30 days pay or 30 days notice?

Yes, unless they can justify (under the terms and conditions outlined in the labor standards act) just cause.
