there must be some exclusive high end ROOMS, where ex idols, of even current idols are working for the RICH AJOSSI in the know.
the guy who is willing to drop 5 million or 10 million for a couple hours drinking with so and so. this is Korean I bet you these places are around. but johnny smith the Canadan English teacher will never hear about it.

Yes, there are. As I mentioned above, these aren't "places" per se, but more like membership clubs that host parties at various places like suites at 5 star hotels, resorts, corporate apartments, etc. The "talent" is usually contractually obliged to attend and participate (think about your contracts that require your attendance for "misc. activities") in the drinking, singing, flirting, etc. If things develop and they decide to take things further with a guest there is usually a hefty fee...your estimates above aren't that far off, though they do go higher for current "hot" talent. It's not mandatory, but as stated, girls who are cooperative and enthusiastic usually benefit. Rumor has it that Lee Hyo-ri was notoriously cooperative and enthusiastic, hence her status as a super idol...a very SINGLE super idol.

For the intrepid internet hound, there is a series of hidden-cam videos featuring a Japanese guy and several of these 10% gals.

As for the boys, yes...there is the same kind of thing. I've heard some horror stories about Andre Kim (R.I.P.) and his...proclivities.

remember Usher, jodici, bellbidevo, bobby brown, well were white girls a huge fan base for them?
maybe.. so if the blacks could rise up and take the mainstream why not asians, I mean black music has always had an underground follow with white people. but it wasn't until the 70's when motown really took their music to white American, and White American girls put posters up of black heartthrobs.
but Black music was unique, it was different,
Asian pop music is just Western pop music. it's not special.

White people fear and yet look up to and respect blacks in terms of the arts. Black music can be very creative and authentic. (Marvin Gay, A Tribe Called Quest and Jimmy Hendrix to name a few)

2PM and Girls Generation are not that. Plus the Asian boy band members look like total sissies according to American culture.

Rain made it to MTV and giggled like a little girl.

If Asians want respect music wise they need to be a little more creative and genuine.

Korean b-boy for the most part have accomplished this. So it's possible.

British and Canadian performers are often linked to the states through shared corporate interests, i.e. EMI and Capitol records.

Those corporate interests are the the dudes who call the shots.

They have the power to make a Justin Bieber into a household name or make sure K-pop never gets a firm foothold in the market.

So the record companies are preventing Asians from breaking into the American market?

Give me a break!

The same sorta promotion through favors given system detailed above regarding young K-pop wannabe's applies in the west regarding pop music, only more complicated and much larger scale...who d'you think the K-pop magnates learned from?
