Those aren't women only seats. They're preferred seats for pregnant women. Anyone can sit in them, but if a pregnant woman gets on you should offer that seat to her.
Women only subway cars would be stupid, especially in Seoul where a lot of people try to make their trip efficient (perhaps to catch a transfer) which requires being at a specific door. Many people have to travel through the train, and if there is a women only car in the middle that means men can't travel the length of the train. Can't imagine that lasting. Even putting them at the end doesn't help as there are many stations which have their transfer/exit areas at the ends. |

There are women only seats along with seats for pregnant women. And they're pink of course. |
