It's problematic. Only worked with a mixture of metric and imperial and didn't work at all with Korea as the country. I scored Latvia

Apparently, I'm fatter than 83% of my age group. I very much doubt that I am.

The trouble with the BMI is it has never taken into account muscle.

If you come from South Africa you might be ok, if you come from the US I'd start saving for that walnut veneer 'Goliath Casket' right now! Laughing

Try out the ones which also take into consideration the waistline. That should give you a better idea...

But I have my own test...Try to do 80 pushups in less than 2 minutes. If you can't do that, you could probably lose a few pounds. Don't blame me if you get a heart attack trying.

I got Demnark. I'm thinner than 80% of women my age in the USA (is that difficult, if you live outside of the main cities?) and have a higher BMI than 51% of women my age in the world.

I could stand to lose 3 pounds, but not bad. I'm visiting home next week and bringing back some trousers and dresses, which will likely be a size too tight, which will be good motivation for the last 1.5 kg. I'll be my pre-Korea size again!

EDIT for typo.

wow~ that did wonders for my self-esteem. after living in korea for 3+ years and constantly being called fat, i've serious developed a complex about my body. i work out regularly and wouldn't be considered fat back home... however, i'm taller and bigger than most korean women. this leads to being pointed at and called a fattie by the locals.

according to the site i have a bmi 78% lower than those in my country and 63% below the national average (including korea). i'm from "central african republic." so i guess i'm not as bad off as i've come to believe.

If I lose 1 pound I will be below average for my country (Canada) but at the moment I am above average haha. I fit in with Belarus apparently.

So a push up test determines if you need to lose weight? I've seen people that look like a praying mantis that can't do 10 push ups in a minute.
