|
|
Is it possible to work 2 summer camps(legally?) I have permission from my school, and I know that my PT work pay must be lower than my schools pay (as far as I know). So my question is, is it possible to work two camps, lined up one after another? Would the total of the two camps need to be lower than the FT job, or could the sum of the two be higher?
Thanks a lot for any answers! |

This is the first I've heard of the summer camp salary being a condition of additional work on the visa.
Why be penalized for signing on to a low paying low hour regular job and be denied working a short term, but intensive (thus higher paying) gig?
I am signed on to a summer camp that pays me 800,000 a week. They provide meals and accommodation on top of that. Compared to my regular full time job, that is about 240,000 more per week. When I was at K-immi, there was never a discussion about it.
At K-immi, you will get a stamp in your passport detailing the TERM (time) you are allowed to be employed with that part time gig. If you want another part time camp after the first one finishes, do the same process and immi. They will see exactly what you're doing because your contract for the second camp starts AFTER your first one finishes as evidenced by your stamp in your passport. To make the process easier, bring all your documents from the first camp, and ALL NEW documents for your second camp.
Because you are going the extra length to do everything legally, you will garnish K-immi's respect and be treated fairly by their officers. |

Just a bit of info...I called immi and they told me any part time work's salary must be lower than your full time job. My co teacher also told me after she called. Perhaps you heard differently, as usually (in any country) immi's left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
For me personally, there is one day I can't work at camp, so I will have a slightly reduced pay, they would keep me just underneath my monthly salary. But just for future reference I guess... |
