Is there a link to a post that covers this? Or could someone in the know post the relevant information here?

Back story: My hagwon hasn't paid me on time and in full for 2 months (though I eventually get my paycheck by the next payday), and I expect next month will be the 3rd month that they will not be able to pay me in full on time.

My question: What are the steps I need to take to get a LOR and get into a new job?

Thanks for the help.

Don't bother.
File a complaint with the labor board for unpaid wages (must be 14 days late).
Then quit (notice not required).
Notify immigration that you quit over unpaid wages and you have a claim against the employer with the labor board.
They will give you the option to find a new job within 30 days, switch to a D10 (allow you 6 months to find a new job) or leave.

Just make sure you have accommodation figured out before you do it.
