I would have just told her 'I have to return some videotapes' and then walked out

NYC chick,
I have enough things in my life to deal with than to deal with bossy opinionated women. It is so awesome being in the Philippines far away and removed from such nonsense.
When I was walking out the door of the place I was laughing so much within myself. I was practically giving myself high fives on the way home.
But I'll clue you in on something else...I waited. That is I waited to see what she looked like when she came out of the place. Man she looked pissed.

I love Zack's craziness Laughing

I've learned to be friendly and pleasant with every chick I meet because you never know who she knows....plus I'm a very likable guy - but there are times when a response like this is certainly called for.

I have been in the same situation as the OP before. I think I skipped out but we weren't sitting at a table just in a bar or something. I just wandered off to the toilet and decided that was the end for me. Her personality was just not for me.

You know sometimes that person should realise people are just not gonna want to come back when she talks like that.

You guys should all stop acting like he is her teacher or has to teach her some moral lesson. If she was saying things that were out of line she deserves nothing from him. He is not obligated to give her anything, least of all a lesson in manners. He is not her parent or teacher. Best use of his time is to go home and relax to give the nerves a rest or find another bar when nice people reside.

See that's the difference between most women and you guys

We would at least pretend we are enjoying a conversation with you (even we are disgusted immediately by your body odor) and maybe fake an dating orgasm in the end by saying : it is really nice meeting you tonight, I had fun.

Rejecting someone you dislike is kinda sad but at least it can be polite.

I think anyone who refuses to tell a white lie is going to have some difficulty getting on in the world. And anyone who only tells white lies that directly benefit themselves is a jerk hiding behind a hypocritical sense of morality.

It is, but in OP's situation, it would be waste of his time to make any further argument with that girl, yet he might prefer not to be rude...then just fake it...

Like comm said, if you do that all the time, you probably are a hypocritical punk, plus you are stupid.

But what chances would it be you meet girls like this every time?

I might kill a few people and punch another few in the face if I don't have to fake what I really think everyday.

I call it being patient and tolerant though.

The op may be a jerk, but he's definitely a jerk-off. If you don't have the balls to finish off a date, then don't bother going in the first place. I'm pretty sure you weren't the adonis she thought you'd be, either.

That being said, I've never bailed on a first date, even though the thoughts ran through my mind on several. In one I remember distinctly, the girl talked so much because she was nervous--I couldn't get her to relax enough to get a word in edgewise. Exactly like that party scene in Swingers. I never called her again, but the next time I saw her, she apologized and was very humble about it. Her new boyfriend's ears were surely bleeding.

Jerk off your self Geekfreak.
I don't deal with so-called "women" like that. If you are a woman then you better act like one. If you want to act like a guy (and she did act like a guy) then I'll treat you like a guy.

You're a dirtbag, dude. Hopefully you'll get the hint one day. It costs nothing to be a gentleman and take the high road in that situation. You may want to ream your friend out (the one who set you up), or maybe lay your own dating groundwork. But to slip away unannounced? Ball-less.
