I open bottles and they end up going off becuase I leave them for e few days. I just dumped a nearly full bottle.

If I could find boxed wine, that would be a great solution, but I dont think Ive seen it here before.

Anyone know where to get it?

If you really are into wine, have you considered buying a wine stopper? You can get them pretty cheap online (or possibly even in the bigger Homepluses or Emarts).

Here is one on Gmarket that looks like a screw and is under 3,000won (before shipping)~
http://item.gmarket.co.kr/detailview/Item.asp?goodscode=244563106&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%bf%cd%c0%ce+%bd%ba%c5%e4%c6%db&keyword_seqno=1815861850&search_keyword=%bf%cd%c0%ce+%bd%ba%c5%e4%c6%db

And for under 4,000 won (before shipping), one that has a little man on the top~
http://item.gmarket.co.kr/detailview/Item.asp?goodscode=259222150&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%bf%cd%c0%ce+%bd%ba%c5%e4%c6%db&keyword_seqno=1815861850&search_keyword=%bf%cd%c0%ce+%bd%ba%c5%e4%c6%db

And for under 10,000 won (before shipping), a heart set of a stopper and corkscrew~
http://item.gmarket.co.kr/detailview/Item.asp?goodscode=239055281&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%bf%cd%c0%ce+%bd%ba%c5%e4%c6%db&keyword_seqno=1815861850&search_keyword=%bf%cd%c0%ce+%bd%ba%c5%e4%c6%db

Then you can get whatever kind of wine you want and can add a day or two to the shelf-life (opened wine typically is good for 3-5 days) There are also much more sophisticated wine stoppers (with pumps and airtight seals and such) that you could find on ebay~ (read more here: http://wine.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Wine_Stoppers)

Skip the novelty stoppers and get a Vacu Vin. Something like this:

http://item.gmarket.co.kr/detailview/Item.asp?goodscode=245143882&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=vacu+vin&keyword_seqno=1820009312&search_keyword=vacu+vin

Or do a search for "vacu vin" for black or stainless steel versions, and additional stoppers.

They're cheaper in the US (where I purchased mine), but can be found in Korea as well.

I usually drink a bottle of wine over the course of 2~3 days. Vacu Vin after each sitting and put the bottle in the fridge overnight. Next evening, take the bottle out, pour a glass, and let sit to reach room temp. Don't let the whole bottle warm up unless you're going to finish it in that sitting.

I personally haven't seen any box wines available in Korea, but others have mentioned a couple places where they could be found. However, I'm going to guess that they are going to be of questionable quality.

BTW, please note that I'm not bad mouthing ALL box wines. I've had several that were decent and would buy again (Black Box is one that comes to mind and Hardys Stamp is drinkable, too). I just question the quality of the ones might be available in Korea's limited market.

Fog City has boxed wine. They also have bottles at a reduced price. I tried their boxed red for a party, and it was decent.

Just drink it quicker!

I jest. I usually go for the screw caps as they're (much) less likely to be off (corked) and you can reseal them. The less they're exposed to air the better, so keep them sealed between pourings. Also you can extend their lives by keeping out of sunlight and warmth.

I went to Costco and bought a 5 liter box of Hardys Cab. In my opinion, its not bad, but its got a little alchol bite to it.
