I have been working in Seoul on a working-holiday visa (H-2) for the last ~7 months in.
The company I work for imports, installs and maintains various industrial machines from Europe. My job is communicating with various parties in Austria.
My visa is going to expire in September and I am looking into what visa options I have for after September but can't find anything that fits me.

Since the company doesn't manufacture anything itself it can't hire me for 'uneducated' 3d labor type visa and since I don't have a Bachelor/Master degree I can't apply for a 'professional' visa.

Any advice would be appreciated.

One idea I had was to start my own business and be self employed while continuing my current work. How difficult is it for a foreigner to start a business in Korea?

What exactly do I do with my 100 million won?
Do just show that I have the sum for one day or do I have to make deposit?

Would having a business outside of Korea or being part of a busniess outside of Korea change anything?

Let's say my father borrows me 100 million won for a week and I register my company. One week later I give the money back to my father and I am allowed to live in Korea and write invoices to whom ever I please?

You might want to check with the seoul help center in regards to direct foreign investment and the D8.

Enroll in a Korean language program at night and work in the day. Student visa

Is that legal (supposed I manage to work during the day and study at night)?
Can I recieve a salary on a student visa?

Another idea I had was to apply for a second H-1 visa with my second nationality, I didn't see any rules about dual citizen not being allowed to apply twice...

Tomorrow my colleague will find an agency/immigration lawyer.

A second H-1 won't work.

Now I am left with two:

1. Marriage
My Korean GF doesn't feel ready for this step. So any experience or advice on finding a marriage partner in this kind of situation would be very welcome. I would have two nationalities to offer if you are korean and sick of Korea (Canadian and German)


2. Student Visa
How much would it cost to enroll at a language school to get this kind of visa?
Would the language school mind if I never show up?

Now I am going to apply for a second working holiday visa at the Korean embassy to Canada.
But I am a bit wary if this might get me into trouble.

Have dual working holiday visas with dual nationalities attempted by someone?
Is this illegal??? Will attempting to enter Korea with a second WH-visa be a crime?

You can work on both a D2 and D4, you just have to wait 6 months. It sounds like you plan on staying here awhile anyhow, so it would probably benefit you to learn some Korean.

If you start at level 1 in one of the university programs, you would be on a D4 for at least a year and a half (if you don't fail any levels) at most universities. The Yonsei program is 2 years and the Sogang program is a year and 9 months. You're limited to 20 hours of work during the week, but if your company is flexible you may be able to make it work.

Language programs in Seoul usually run around 1.3 million for a quarter semester. If you miss a certain amount of classes (I think over 5) they report you to immigration.
