Wow there are a lot of insecure men here.

Please tell me more about how you are perfect and have no insecurities.

Never said I was. Even if I am the most insecure man here, it doesn't change the validity of my statement.

So why insult others when you also have insecurities? Doesn't make sense to me.
I would argue it makes you more of a man. .

Actually had milk come out my nose when i read this line. And most telling sentence. Safe to say he'd also think its more manly to have flabby man-breasts, run from a fight and drink shirley temple's at the pub.

Thanks for the insult db. I find it funny that the more "manly" people like you try to portray yourself as, the more it shows how insecure you are. I swear some of the guys here are like cave men. "Me man, me hunt, woman cook, I no carry girl's bag, I carry gun" I was just trying to say that if you are a true gentleman, which many argue is a better man, you don't let your insecurities stop you from holding your gf's bag for a while. What's gonna happen? Your balls gonna drop off? Get over yourselves, most of you are probably not nearly as manly as you think you are anyway.

Bigtime no way on this topic.

You see it in Shanghai too, disturbing. It's a symbolic thing. If she can get you to do that, then you'll do anything, and she's got herself a sucker. I feel it's important for men everywhere to not go down the "carry the purse" route, it's a slippery slope dudes !!! Laughing

I've been asked, I just laugh and say that will never happen and that's the end of that conversation.

Don't cry about an insult when you initiated this whole thread with an insult. Backpedaling now with "what i meant was, what i meant was" don't cut it.

You think carrying a bag makes you a gentleman? No, it just makes you full of BS. You know how I know? Because I see noooooooo married guys carrying the bag. You guys who do it aren't being gentleman, you are playing an angle.

And holding a bag is totally different than carrying it. Girls carry those bags every day, amazingly even when you gentleman aren't there. Don't think anybody has a problem holding a bag. Carrying it as said before is no more than symbolic gesturing.

I guess I'm the only one that isn't a chump on this thread. My GF carries my handbag. And yeah, it's definitely an angle.

Angle remark makes no sense.

Your GF or BF carries your handbag?

If carrying a bag or not defines the power in your relationship, something ain't right.

If your ducks are in order power in the relationship isn't determined by whether or not you carry her bag.

Now that's not to say that there aren't a bunch of whipped dudes carrying bags, but if everything is going fine you do stuff like hold it because her arms are tired and you do nice things for each other. It's not what you do, it's why you're doing it.

Uhm...in Korea? I'd assume it would depend on whether the guy is holding his own handbag. I mean walking around with two purses can really be a burden.

...just realized others already got that. Laughing

I'll hold her hand bag if she needs to go to the bathroom and she asks me to hold it while she runs to the toilet. ok, why she doesn't bring it in with her., I don't know, maybe it will get dirty, ok, so I will feel like the idiot for a couple minutes holding a woman's hand bag in a department store. LOL
I don't know why I feel stupid, but I do..
she knows I will never carry her bag walking down the street. so she never asks me.

then again, I am not the kind of person who holds hands either.
and if you think I am gonna hold my buddy's hand coming out of a bar walking up the street like these Ajossi's do.. LOL, you are dreaming.

Good point, no way I'm someone's mule. Carry your own felony quantities of Blue Sky meth Ms. Lydia. I'll handle the duffel bag of money.
