I've been offered a job with the DODDS (schools on the U.S military bases) and I'm taking it. I will be out of the Korean PS system.

My wife and I have been in Korea for 4 years. Since we will no longer be working for the Korean PS system can we get our pension money now or do we have to wait until we leave for good?

You need to be out of the country for about a month to receive the funds. If so, then it's possible.

It depends on your visa classes (present and future).

IF you have to depart Korea and change your visa status then yes, it is possible.

If you do not leave Korea (transfer of status) then it is (probably) not possible.

I'll have to get an A-3 visa but I don't have to leave Korea.
