On the subject of toilet paper, I'm having some difficulty in my building and with my building director.

I flush my paper. The very prospect of having a bin of used bathroom tissue in my bathroom is a vile one. Unfortunately, the plumbing in my building is awful and we have had no less than three major sewage floods - one in my apartment (which I posted about and was later deleted), one in the hall and my bathroom (but not the rest of my home), and then the other day the manhole in the driveway exploded toilet paper and all the things from a sewer into the driveway.

Now, I adamantly denied that I was flushing my paper. I said 'yeah, it goes in the bin!' The building director is a really nice guy, and though he kind of blames me for everything that goes wrong in the building he's also really nice about it - wants to teach me the proper way, rather.

How many of you bin your toilet paper rather than flush? And, how necessary is it?

seriously. you've been living in another country and for all that's worth, your experience has apparently been so limited and constrained that you can't even manage to find TOILET PAPER without posting on an internet board???

moving back home with mom and dad?? Rolling Eyes

You must be a fun person to hang out with. Actually, smart a$$, I was home at the time and thought I'd get some quick input that could help me find it quicker when I went out. Actually I bought a huge pack two years ago when I moved in this apartment and it lasted me until last week.

But, in the end, I got my gf to give me a roll from her house, so problem solved.

I must be the fun one?

I can just see the slow clinching of your fist around your wallet, the knuckles turning pale white, the blood flow concentrating up your neck, temples bulging, eyes popping -

"grr no way will I waste another won on toilet paper..."

yeah bet you're a fun date Shocked

Why do you insist on being an a-hole? I was simply asking a question, and you come on here and insult, judge and criticize. Do you know me?? No, we've never met. The only thing you know about me is a post on a website. I admit I shouldn't have even responded to your comment, because now I just get more unwarranted attacks by you. What is it that makes people act like you??

I would guess that one of the reasons why many ban flushing toilet paper is also because I have met a lot of people who doesn't understand just how different different type of paper is. I've met multiple people who would use kitchen tower when they run out of toilet paper, and kitchen towels is something completely different and should never be flushed down a toilet.

Welcome to the internet... it's called trolling. People act that way because they want to get an emotional rise out of someone else, thus making themselves feel better, all while hiding behind their computer screens and out of harms way. You'll find most trolls were probably bullied as kids and use this method to finally make a stand and make themselves feel good about themselves, without having to go out into the sun or worry about physical retaliation since they most likely would lose a fist fight to anyone over the age of 7.

Very Happy I'd say that is most likely true for the majority of internet bullies on this website.

Yes, what's with all the trolls and snarkiness on this site of late? Not only do we have LL, we have silverback, dodge ball and the vicious veloraptor.

Some or all of them may be socks and probably are. But I for one, am sick of seeing their posts all over the forum calling everyone "losers."

What exactly IS a "loser?" Someone who trolls Internet boards would be a good start as a definition of a loser. As in, get a life, trolls. Get out from under that bridge and start taking a very close look at what's wrong with your life.

I'm kind of with luckylady here... "Where can I get a roll of toilet paper?"

...

Seriously...?

And then him getting defensive about trolling so obvious it should only rile up 13year olds on Xbox Live. Kind of brought it on himself, imo. I don't get how this is lost on the rest of you.

Tip: You can only get trolled if you respond to it.

really? I've been flushing kitchen towels for close to 2 years, as well as food waste (why waste time with nasty rotting bags of leftovers?) and I haven't had any trouble. If the toilet can handle me dropping a low fibre high protein duece, then it should be able to handle a wad of paper.

Nah, if a real life bud said to me that they were worried about buying toilet paper, I'd bag on them in real life too.

So what if you have some left over? Seriously.
