I've been to about 5-6 bicycle shops in my area (sanbon, just outside Seoul) and the largest bicycle they had was a 51 cm frame. I'm looking for something between 58 and 60 cm. Anyone know of any shops that have large frame bicycles? Not looking to spend more than 400,000 won. I'm 182 cm tall and it seems like nobody carries anything that will fit me. Any help would be appreciated.

That is a somewhat difficult task in Korea. For some odd reason Koreans tend to ride frames that are too small for them (even way high end mtbs). Check out GMarket. You might find something there.

You can find them, although at a budget of 400, it might be difficult. You'll have a better chance calling stores in Seoul.

You've probably already been there, but did you check the bike shop in the outlets across from the park (on the EMart side)? A few guys I know who are bigger than you were able to get bikes there that they were ultimately pretty happy with.

I doubt you'll find a bike frame that fits you. I couldn't, anyway. I had a bike shipped from the US (shipping was $350, Customs $150, which brought a $1,000 bike to $1,500). I think I got it from JensonUSA but it was over a year ago and I can't remember.

Bike Nara at Hapjeong. They are a Giant dealer and they have/can get whatever size you want.

HiTep in Yongin - was the end of the Bundang line, and then a short walk, but now I think the new subway stop is right by it. Anyway, they are the official Specialized dealer in Korea. Again, they have it or can get it.

There is another place up in Nowon-gu but the name and exact location escapes me at the moment.

Also by Hoegi station is another great place for some good bikes.

In the 400k range, if you want a standard road bike, I'd say Bike Nara is the place to go. They've easily got what you're looking for.

Also, if you go to any of the Samchully stores, they'll have what you want or again, can order it.

I've personally used Bike Nara and HiTep for my Specialized, so I know they have those sizes. I've also been to half a dozen Samchully stores and seen with my own eyes bikes that fit me and I'm a 58-60, depending on the brand.

I bought a bike in the states and brought it with me on the plane. If packed in a normal bike box, there is no extra for luggage, it counts as one of your check-in items. Almost all airlines allow "sporting equipment" to be checked as regular luggage like golf bags, surf boards or skis.

When arriving in Incheon, there is a tekbeh delivery service from the airport to Seoul that is really cheap, I think I remember paying 10,000 won. I just didn't want the hassle of bringing it with me on the bus and through the city when I already had a suitcase to carry.
