No, it was the whole city - 250,000 back then.

No cold water. No hot water. No water period for about 4-7 days. Twice.

My adult students at the time told me it was caused by a pig farm too close to --- I think the water treatment facility - they weren't clear about that.

When was that, though? Maybe it could have been when they had a hoof and mouth outbreak and they buried thousands upon thousands of pigs all over the country to prevent the spread of the disease. I vaguely remember something about a leak being discovered in the pits where the carcasses were buried and concerns of water contamination, but that was just 4-5 years ago, and I can't remember if it was in Wonju or elsewhere.

I don't know if it is the same in EPIK as at SMOE, but they probably don't know where you'll end up in the city.

They don't even know what grade level school.

And if they did, they wouldn't tell you, because they don't want expats who are flown over to hear they are going to teach an age group they don't like and then bolt in country to try to find a hakwon job.

I knew what age group I was teaching and where I was going before I left for Korew. A fringe benefit of not using EPIK for public school jobs. When is the government going to dump those guys?
