It sounds like they need security guards at subway stations.

The NPA said the number of suspects caught taking illegal photos and selling them was 1,436 last year, up from 560 in 2008. The offenders are usually caught through stings similar to the one above.
The culprits are all different. Incumbent military officers, civil servants and even priests have been arrested for illegal photography. These photos are taken in elevators, on stairwells, in subway cars, inside of restrooms and on escalators among other places.

| Maybe girls could just wear longer skirts again? I never thought I'd say that but my brain wants its blood back, and the current situation isn't helping at all. |

Ive been here for 3 years and I can already see the change. The country is becoming more liberal, sexual, less respect to elders and less conservative.
Morals are going down the drain. Thanks to the West, mainly. |

I wonder if this is REALLY related to western influence. While this is likely a factor, I think it is more likely that simply becoming an advanced and modern nation plays a much larger role . |

Who cares? I mean, you could look toward serious studies for intelligent analysis of factors influencing perceived social change, or you could just go the easy route and say everything is due to "Western influence." And what's more, it's an easy excuse no matter what your opinions. If you like the changes you perceive, you can say western influence is positive and if you don't, you can say it's negative. See? Western influence makes everybody happy. |

Who cares? yes, thanks to the West these kinds of activities are being called out and no longer acceptable behavior. Men in Korea and other places have behaved badly for far too long and gotten away with it.
while it's still taking some time for the judges and courts to catch up with adequate sentencing and punishment, it's good to know the media is at least highlighting the need for continued action against such creeps. |

I'm of the opinion that anything that can reasonably seen in the public view is fair game for a photograph. Take a picture of a crowd on the subway? It's no different than the tons of CCTV doing it every day.
It gets "wrong" when ppl try to take shots that would not be available to the average public viewer... Extreme angle shots, restroom shots... That sort of thing. |
