anyone know any bars that play/cater to sports fans? An example would be those who play hockey games. |

Sports bars to actually play live sports, especially hockey?
You must be a newbie. The hope has been long since dashed for the rest of us.
Find a live NHL playoff game playing anywhere on a weekend and I'll be there.
Good luck! |

Missing most of the games is a sin, but having to miss the final series is killer. At least there is live radio feed...... Just not the same though....... |

So, newbie, you are in a unique position to enlighten us about this year's Calgary Flames team, assuming you have seen several games. Are they really that good? Why? Are people now a believer in the Kipper? He was, despite a couple of setbacks, often great as a backup in the shadow of Nabokov.
Keep looking for the holy grail. Find the NHL playoff reception machine in Korea and you'll wield great power amongst us expat fans, my friend. |

Some day a foreigner with some extra lucre is going to open a sports bar and negotiate the rights to air NHL games, Hockey Night in Canada, and other sporting events. Even if it were a delayed telecast so that working stiffs like us could watch that person would have a guaranteed expat clientele.
Nah, I guess I'm dreaming. You would think the Canadian Embassy's cultural attache could open up the embassy to air the games. |

You aren't dreaming. A Canadian in Incheon has opened a Western-style sports bar near Bupyeong station, near the Goose Goose bar. It has couches and a giant screen TV. I've only been there once myself, but they were playing a hockey game, apparently he has a huge selection of hockey games and movies on tape.
Making things even better they serve Western style breakfast all day every day and make the best damn chicken nachos I've ever had. |

Well, in my humble opinion the flames are doing awesome this year. They kicked Vancouver in 7, and are up 3games-2 against Detroit. They have been huge underdogs in both series so far, but have been doing what it takes to get things done. Yes, Kipper is doing awesome, in my opinion his and iginla's play have been what is doing it for the flames. The team is all rallying around them and they are winning. Go Flames |
