The government has no choice but to be extra cautious here. Whats the alternative really? It is better to warn people and nothing happens than to not warn them.

As adults, you just take the precautions you feel are warranted. If you think going outside in a storm like this is "fun" then go for it, it is your call. However, if others prefer to stay indoors and avoid the storm, its their call as well. As a parent of two, I certainly would have kept my kids indoor.

I know. Its just that you made me picture curry farts blowing all over Seoul at 30 meters/sec, and it made me gag.

Fair enough!

I, for one, took precautions. I had a 6-pack of 2-liter bottles of water, filled one half of my double kitchen sink with water (for washing,) got some fancy schmancy candles that I'd use even if unnecessary, made sure I had plenty of non-perishable food (which I usually have anyway,) and cooked a pot of rice in advance.

I mean, it wasn't as though I wouldn't drink the water, eat the food, or want my apartment to smell like yummy scented candles anyway.

Wasn't unpredictable to me. I told you ladies exactly what was going to happen. And it happened exactly like that.

Well of course it was dangerous in some places, but not in Incheon, and all the schools were closed, with everyone panicking. My electricity flickered once.

Yes, it's always great to be prepared. Still, it was not a big storm in Incheon.

Because the country begins and ends with Incheon. No one lives anywhere else, and anything that happens outside of that is trivial and meaningless. Cool, glad we got that all sorted now.

Still, the point is the government HAD to warm people to be careful. The other option is just not realistic from a public safety standpoint.

Maybe, it's projected to be as strong as now, but it's going to pass right over us instead of being way out to sea.

BTW I'm still drinking beer and no wolf.

Gee stan did the wolf scare you that much that you haven't found your way back in 2 days to tell us about it?

Maybe it was the beer and not the typhoon that did him in.
