I've done a semester at Sogang and while it was a good class I felt like I was paying a bit too much and traveling a bit too far. I wrangled up some coworkers who are about at the same level as me and we want to hire a tutor. We have our own classroom and books + workbooks (We like the Sogang ones well enough). So what is a fair price? Same as English lessons for a group of 3 or more?

I know there are majors and certs for teaching Korean to foreigners, so there are more than a few people in the industry. We aren't looking for someone who commands top dollar teaching diplomats, etc. We just want someone to make some games, correct pronunciation, etc. Basically something that we might do if we were teaching English to beginners. A uni student still learning would be fine for us.

I have a private tutor who I pay 30,000w for a 60min class. So for it's been well worth it.

If there's three of you, I think 15,000 - 20,000 per student/hr is a fair rate.

Where in Seoul OP? I may want to join late next month if you are 2B. I could use a 2A refresher and add my own knowledge into the mix.

By the way, does anyone know which Seogang books correspond to the different TOPIK levels?

I'm sure I could pass Level 2 on my own. Is Level 2 Topik basically a bit higher than survival?
