Back in 2004 I was working in Daegu and read about a Canadian band called Woods of Ypres. I bought their second cd from founder David Gold. Afterward, we talked through e-mail about Korea. He ended up teaching for a year while playing drums in a Korean band called Necramyth. Sadly, he died earlier today in Ontario. WOY signed with Earache Records and were to release their 5th album early next year.

It's been a while since, but thanks for posting.
I ordered their original 4 from David while I was living in Korea. Got them by mail after he died. Was an especially sad winter.

But I still wonder, do you know by chance if his Korea video footage will ever become part of a documentary? His sister told me about creating some documentary about his life and music, but I'm now not so certain his family were certain of that.
