So, I have never heard of notarization before.
How do I do this?

From my understanding, I have to print out a scanned copy of a degree and CBC and get that notarized somewhere. Is this true?

Also, where do I do this?

Before you muck things up do check out the proper format required by the Korean consulate.

So check the web page of the Korean consulate that services your province/territory.

Usually the notary is the one who will copy the document and notarize the copy. So no scans will do. If you are here in Korea you will have to send it to a notary/lawyer back home.

I like the Vancouver one as it is very detailed, but the details are a touch different from the others.

We don't this apostile or whatever it is or means. I know some American friends really have to jump through hoops because of it. Don't know why they still come over. (Rhetorical phrase.) Anyways, us Canucks have it easier by comparison since we never signed this apostile treaty. Basically, take your degree to a lawyer's office. He'll make a color copy of it and sign it on the back saying it's legitmate. The criminal check doesn't need that. You send both of these items then to the Korean embassy or consulate nearest you. They stamp them and send them back to you. You're ready to come to Korea. Include some copies of your transcripts too when you send them.

Some suggest having a couple of copies when applying. In case you need to leave jobs after coming over. All police checks in Canada are federal, even at your local police station.

AS for the consulate, think you have to send two money orders for a certain amount to process those two documents. Check the website or call for an up to date fee.
