Interesting. I got to Korea about 6 months after the line had been extended to Yongmun station (close where I lived), and life would have been much more difficult without it! This is good news for those living between Yongmun and Wonju, for sure.
I'm happy to see the next stop on the line will be Jipyeong as that's where I used to work - on days with heavy rain when cycling wasn't an option I used to take the old village bus to/from school which took around 30 minutes. That time should be reduced to about 3 mins with the opening of the new stops I guess. There's also a fantastic makkeoli brewery in Jipyeong and this will make it easier for aficionados to get there - nice! |
