If you can even minimally read Korean, use Naver Maps. At the top, click 길찾기 (directions) and enter your starting point and your destination in Korean. You can be as specific (ABC-dong 111-1, Pyeongchon XYZ School) or as vague (Anyang) as you want. Then, click the gray button on the right of the two fields (길찾기 시작). It will usually give you about a half dozen routes to choose from. You can also choose from routes that only use buses, trains or both.
It works equally well for going out of town. So, if you want to go from the American embassy in Seoul to Haeundae in Busan or some seafood restaurant in Gwangju, it will also have directions for public transportation. |

Which web browser are you using? The bus website, as with many websites in the land where a flash-looped JPEG can pass as a web page, requires Internet Explorer to work properly.
Though it may have stopped doing even that. I haven't bothered with that site since last fall. Google Maps on my iphone works for me, though I still wish they had bus route maps somewhere. Things like the smartphone map app and Google/Naver maps only work if you have a start point and endpoint in mind. |

With a bit of focus and perseverence, you'll be able to work it out old school- i.e. no internet/cellphone assistance.
U may even brush up on your interacting with Korean people skills (this gives u an excuse to strike up conversations). |
