Hi everyone, I'm in Korea and am trying to get my E-2. I sent off for Disclosure and got it, but I didn't realize it'd be easier to get it notarized by asking them to do it when you request the document. Is there some way to get it notarized here in Korea? Thanks.

I got my CRC notarised at the British Embassy in Seoul. However, that was a couple of years ago, and I know they have cut back on some consular services since then. You should check out their website for details of the services they offer.

Cheers man - I really can't figure out if they will grant the apostille or not. I have to ensure that it was signed and sealed when I got the check.

They 0 Embassy - will give an official stamp of approval for a driver's licence (I phoned and they confirmed this). I don't see why they can't do this for a CRC check.

You can get it done at the British Council. The Embassy no longer offer that service.

That was the case last year. Maybe they have started offering it again.

The British Council in Tbilisi said they wouldn't do it for me back in April this year but maybe the Seoul office do.

The Embassy told me that for 86K won they will give me a paper signed and sealed by the Embassy to replace the Apostille if Immigration will allow it. Does anyone know whether you can get a notarization and apostille through the post from Britain? I'll let you know whether Immigration accepts this.

Don't know if immigration accept that but they definitely accept British Council notarized documents (personal experience). Get your stuff notarized at the British Council then drop it in the post to the FCO for the apostille.

Yeah, you may be right...if I can at all. Thing is, I'm a British citizen but I went to uni in the States and not sure if I'll be able to have my background check notarized by them. I just found out from Disclosure Scotland though that if I want them to notarize it, I can just send it back to them with an explanation of what I want and they'll do it, free of charge.
