Dude can't sing, but that's besides the point. This was obviously made with the intention of amusing the students in his new school and I daresay this video achieved that goal. He's obviously not afraid of making himself look silly and this kind of comment makes only succeeds in making you look like a humourless douche. It's tongue in cheek and not meant to be taken seriously - lighten up.

I blame the X Factor and all of its bastard reincarnations. We work in education, not entertainment. Sure you have to make the classes entertaining but when you start off this far away from fostering an educational environment, where do you go from there?

I liked the video, though, but as an introduction I think it's unsuitable.

A parody version by 14 lifeguards in El Monte, CA. They all got fired for it.

Reminds of a female copper that got fired for doing the macarena while on duty and was shown on national television. (macarena was before Youtube, but after the video camera). As for for Leon: he's got GangNam Style! As for Katherine: sorry.

No. When you see flash mobs happening in the streets all over the world, it's like the swing dance craze during the 1930's depression. Folks ain't happy and they wanna have some good time. Don't be such a major general and stop trying to cancel christmas parties.

Flash mobs are why police have billy clubs.

These are the same morons who complain about the world being unfair, Kony2012, not being able to find a job, and all their other stupid young people crap.

OK song, funny vid. By all means share it on facebook. But it's a single song. At least swing dance is a genre of music.

That's a shame. if anything, they make it look like a fun place to visit.

I was in El Monte today, getting new springs/shocks installed. It's kind of a Hispanic version of Compton - pretty run down and shady looking. For a city with a 70% Hispanic population, the Mexican food is pretty medicore, but there is a surprising number of decent Vietnamese restaurants. Home to the El Monte Flores 13 gang, it's not a place most Los Angeles residents would consider "fun" unless you're into heroin or playing "was that car backfire or a drive-by?"
