Yes the trend towards lower quality Psy-like cheaper fast and disposable does figure into the equation.

As the handcrafted stuff continues to cost more, it just keeps getting easier and cheaper to profit from mass-produced branded products.

Agreed. On that note,

"Son can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet
And I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes"

Walter, what the heck does Psy have to do with tailoring?

Well Dude, obviously there isn't a literal connection...

Face it Walter there isn't any connection. Your roll.

Right, because you need a bespoke suit to teach kindergarteners.

I can hear you reminiscing with your friends over a cup of tea served with biscuits and orange marmalade, "Remember that time Jason used a sharpie to write '바보' on the back of my Savile Row worsted wool jacket? That little rascal."

What has any of that article got to do with Psy?

I've seen a lot of independent tailors near where I live. Granted, they don't make their own fabric but it is a mile away from the common made in China tat that many people wear.

To try to hoist the disposable culture we live in upon Psy or Korea is a fallacy propagated by a halfwit.

"Psy-like" is eons away from hoisting it specifically on him.

He just happens to be riding on that trend, one which some people are less than enchanted with, because of the type of environment it creates.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I have a bespoke suit (no, the real deal, not some Ittaewon back alley special). I just find it funny that your complaining about that here. It's just as out of place as if you'd be complaining that you need to drive to Seoul from the provinces every time your Porsche needs an oil change.

You already were way off in assuming this had anything to do with teaching children, and you're no closer to grasping it now...hey just admit you're a lover of disposable pop culture, we'll understand (no one said anything about sympathizing).

Well obviously there isn't a "specific" connection to Psy, Dude, my point is....

Face it Walter there isn't any connection. Your roll.

My point is...

==========================

Psy has absolutely nothing to do with this. What trend is Psy riding? The make a buck trend that's been with humanity for 10,000 years? The entertainer looking for attention trend that has been with humanity for 5,000 years?

I'll be sure that the next time I go out looking for a suit, I'm sure to avoid "Psy-influenced" shops.

Care to list which shops have fallen under the wave of Psy and his glorious new regime? has he seized a strategic wool deposit? Must I avoid his tailoring minions?

For goodness sakes, just admit that Psy has absolutely nothing to do with this.

Looks like the K-popping brigade is in desperation mode...

Well, considering u actually used it in your quote, I'm going to assume you've got some soju into u tonight and don't have all the cards shuffling smoothly, and I'll repeat and even make use of bold type to make it clear-

Psy-like" is eons away from hoisting it specifically on him.

He just happens to be riding on that trend, one which some people are less than enchanted with, because of the type of environment it creates.

As well as repost a relevant sentence from the article-

As the handcrafted stuff continues to cost more, it just keeps getting easier and cheaper to profit from mass-produced branded products.

If u still don't get it, I suggest u don't read articles which focus on a specific topic in order to make inferences about broader topics.

Dude Psy has as much to do with this topic as say, Obama. Which is to say, nothing.

Face it Walter, there isn't any connection. Your roll.

Ok, I think I understand now. Psy has been popular for years in Korea but now America is using him as a disposable commodity. A one hit wonder to be thrown away when his novelty has worn out. And the suit maker in the article lives in America. So you're saying that America has created a disposable culture and is hoisting their culture on other countries.

In that case I totally agree with you. The USA sucks.

Good work OP.
