I look forward to pumpkin pie time at Costco every year since I started going there a number of years ago. It usually comes out in late August, so when I went there a few days ago I asked when it was coming out. The answer, as you may have surmised from the subject line, is that it isn't coming out.

I can make and have made pumpkin pie myself (I have an oven), but it's nowhere near as large as Costco's pie, and it might even cost more (I've never priced the ingredients when making it myself, but Costco's was a little over 7,000 won for a massive pie).

So is there anywhere else in Seoul, besides a US military base, to buy whole pumpkin pie? I realize it won't be as large or inexpensive as Costco's, but a decent substitute would do if available.

Let's wait until after Chuseok before we panic about the lack of pumpkin pies at Costco. No pumpkin pies in October then we have a problem.

And thought the lack of good lamb was important.

Anyone know where to get a good shank?

I wanted to buy an apple pie at Costco the other day. A great bargain at 7900 won. They didnt have any. Instead they had peach pies for 14,000. After much internal debate I bought a peach pie. Big mistake. They used CANNED PEACHES to make it. Complete fail.

I almost went for the peach pie since peach is my favorite pie variety. Glad I didn't.

Pumpkin pie usually appears before Thanksgiving.

In the food court, the chicken pot pie's pretty good.

Guess what I'm eating right now? Why, it's PUMPKIN PIE from Costco. It costs 7,990 for a wonderful pumpkin pie. I also saw 18 pack of Swiss Miss Frozen Fudge bars for 12,990.

I figured no one would read this because of the original headline but Costco has pumpkin pie and walnut pie.

I know! Surprised I guess the employee I asked last month about the pumpkin pie didn't know what she was talking about. I got a pie last week and it went very well with vanilla ice cream. Huzzah! Very Happy
