You should have a better attitude than that. All I can say is that I hope you like Korean food. Isn't that training center in the middle of nowhere?

I was signed up for this but luckily my coteacher was able to get me out of it... after being here for 2 years I don't think I really need another orientation Laughing

That said, I did meet several good friends at the first one I went to and it wasn't as bad as I expected after reading messages on this site. If you're new to Korea it's worth going, if only for the social activities. Just a shame about the "no alcohol" rule they've introduced now though, especially as you're gonna be holed up there for 3 days.

I heard that we leave early on the Friday morning, or at least that's what the guy told me via email. So although it will be two full days the last day should be a goodbye ceremony and us leaving. I am hoping this is true, as I'm on the middle school intake and getting out early for Chuseok cheered me up about the whole thing.

I've been in Korea for quite a few years but this is my first time with GEPIK, hence the orientation. Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but who knows, I may find out something new?

Boring, waste of time meetings are the cornerstones of high school teaching back home. It's good to see Korea starting to legitimize the profession here.

NQ- Call or email GEPIK. No one here has a clue.

Dodge and Chalmers, you two should be roommates. When you check in ask for the room overlooking the dumpster.

Remember, BYOB.

Maybe we are the same person, with two different handles on here. Oh wait a minute, that's only something a complete tool would do so they can post random news articles, complain about Korean food, and talk about Costco.

Don't you have a pie to eat?

What's this "No alcohol" rule?

To those of you who have gone to this before, do the rooms have refrigerators? Is there ice?

Do they generally take attendance for their lectures/seminars/what-have-you?
