I bought my fiance this camera after she had been borrowing my high-end kit too often for my liking. She used it to shoot a friend's wedding, and then never used it again. Apparently she was shooting on auto mode the entire time, and thus was basically carrying around a large point-and-shoot. I spent around 1.2 or so on the entire kit a couple years ago, but prices have come down to just under 1 for everything listed (new). Two of the lenses have never been used, and the body has less than a few hundred actuations on it. As everything has been but opened and stored in the bag, I'd like to get 700K OBO for the following:
Canon 350D Body
Canon 18-55 IS (Kit Lens) w/ UV filter
Canon 55-250 IS w/ UV filter
Canon 50 1.8 w/ UV filter
Crumpler Six-Million-Dollar Home
Everything is "brand" (edited for Bloopity) new (two lenses haven't even been affixed before), so I think it's a pretty good deal for someone wanting to get into DSLRs, as these three lenses will give you a walkaround (18-55), sports/action (55-250), and a portrait/low light (50), as well as one of the best bags on the market.

Thank you very much for your offer, but in my opinion, that's far too low for a brand new lens that is selling for 280,000+ online. Happy shooting!

The going rate in the states is between 215-225 dollars, which goes up with import taxes and exchange rates. When something is too good to be true...
Those are listed as "imported," and may or may not be real. They don't come with warranties, either. It doesn't make much sense that something that is imported would be 100,000+ cheaper than the genuine article.
All of my kit comes with boxes, warranties, etc. Thanks again for your interest, and for reminding me to post further details.

I don't like things being advertised as BRAND NEW no matter what used condition they're in. It's misleading. |

Did you realize that your "a couple of years" means SEVEN years ago and camera price slashes in half every two year right?
Lenses are good for a longer time, but they also have newer versions with updated functionality, and a person in their right mind would buy used lenses for the new price anyway |

Thank you for your post. I purchased this camera two years ago, and after having checked current prices for the same camera online and in stores in Korea, and online in the States, I think my asking price is very fair for the equipment and the excellent state it is in. Your interesting, yet factually inaccurate post regarding price drops is entertaining, but I believe Bloopity would agree that it is misleading.
The grammar in your post makes it somewhat difficult to understand, but I believe you meant to write that a person in his right mind would not purchase used lenses at the prices of new ones. I would certainly hope not. Hence, I am selling equipment that is virtually new (while it has been purchased and stored in its original packaging, it has not been used), at a price that is 30-40% less than the price I paid for it, depending on the product in question.

I dunno. I think if you were to take 700,000 around some of the camera stores in Seoul, you'd be hard pressed to get a good a deal as the one offered here.
Problem is that kit lenses tend to drop in value quite considerably after purchase, or at least they do overseas. In Korea, they tend not to drop by so much.
Stick to your guns OP! |

Thank you for the input. Jacks is correct in that you won't get as much camera for the money in the shops. I brought my price down after I went and got quotes from them, which are lower than I'm asking, but they were selling much higher than I'm asking. I was hoping to split the difference with the potential buyer by cutting out the middle man, but the middle man does make things somewhat easier as far as sales and purchases go in my experience, so that must be what we pay for.
I also forgot to add that all these lenses come with Canon hoods, which are usually sold separately (I can't remember if the kit lens included a hood or not) for ridiculously gouging prices, considering they're really just pieces of plastic with a glare-free surface on the inside, matched to the specs of the lens...wait...I guess they ARE worth something (but not what they charge, in my opinion). Anyway, they're included as well.
