Everybody here will have an opinion about this topic, as we all have experienced the turbulence of the airline meal. I've had some pretty good food and some less spectacular offerings over the years.
A recent Japanese style breakfast???? on JAL from Incheon to Tokyo offered something I never could identify in the form of a sandwich. I ate the pickles that came with it, they were good. ( I called it a Japanese style breakfast because it was a sandwich that could only be conceived in NE Asia )
The offerings shown below are not as bad as some I've seen, but not many keepers either.

It was probably a 7-11 sandwich pocket like they sell in Thailand.
