I have a letter of release and a new contract, and I've got to go to immigration this week to do the required stuff.

What documents do I need to bring to switch my job in-country?

And, what can I expect at immigration?

I say it time and again. Have you checked the HiKorea/Immigration website?
www.hikorea.go.kr

Quote:

Required Documents

※ Items subject to change depending on individual circumstances
Passport and foreign registration card
Application form (First one)
An explanation letter (in case of closing of lecture or closing of office, document to conform that)
An Employment contract
A copy of school establishment & operation registration and business registration
A letter of consent from former workplace
Reference (in case of change of working place)
Issuance of proof of (lack of) criminal records (the records must be affixed with the relevant nations Apostille by their local Korean consulate or their consulates in Korea)
※ Nationals of countries that have not signed the Apostille treaty, (Canada, China, etc) must get their records verified by their local Korean consulate or their consulates in Korea, and those already in Korea who were issued their criminal records from their consulates in Korea have no need for an Apostille

What to expect.
1) To wait. If you did not set up an appointment. You might find yourself waiting a while.
2) Limited English. It maybe immigration but expect some confusion and frustration with language.
3) Possibly a demand for paperwork like CRC or Degree. Maybe! If previous ones are not satisfactory. The ones italicized above. If they are old, improperly done, or not legally done. They might ask for again.

ARC
passport
LOR
new contract
new employer's business registration
new employer's letter of guarantee (sponsorship form).
Application
Fees (60k for the transfer and 30k for your ARC extension).

It should take about 30 minutes after you get to the counter (the waiting time will vary depending on the day and whether or not you have an appointment time or just walk-in.

They will update your computer files and ARC (write the new details on the back) then send you on your way.

.
