It depends where you are losing hair but from the sounds of it you are losing it on the crown of your head.
Get a prescription for Propecia (finasteride) 1mg once daily and try going to your pharmacy to find Nizoral 2% shampoo. This is the most effective combination without resorting to surgery.
Propecia grows back hair in 80% of patients. It will stop thinning and regrow most of your hair, but it takes a good year after taking it. You will most likely experience some hair falling out but this is normal.
There is also Rogaine (minoxidil) but I'd advise against it because it is ineffective and even the Nizoral 2% shampoo performs better. It is also expensive from what I have seen.
Expect to blow through $100 / month to keep your hair. You have to ask yourself if it's worth it. |
It prevents it for a time and untimately slows it down. It will not replenish lost hair. If you've already lost hair, Propecia will not grow it back. It will slow down hair loss where it is in danger of falling out. Proscar is cheaper. It is a 4 mg tablet, you cut into four pieces. A six month supply of Propecia is in the range of 300,000 to 400,000 won. Proscar is 95,000 won for 6 months. You keep the cut up proscars in a plastic ziplock bag until you're ready to take them.
Other option is a hair transplant. Apgujung has many clinics. About 4000 folliciles or units are harvested from the back of your head. About 5 to 6 million won per surgery. You may need 2 to 4 surgeries in a lifetime. It will not make you have thick hair like a 20 year old but will make you look much better than severely bald.
I do not know much about Seoul girls. I saw a couple of them with bald foriegn guys. But, have the overall impression that many women here under 45 don't like bald guys. Some guys with shaved heads have done ok. But, either way, it does change your appearance and the available pool does get reduced. Also looking for jobs, baldness will make you look older. That said, bald people do still find work. |

I visited these folks.

I had two surgeries and look much younger than before. They speak decent English and use the latest methods. (Price is not always the most important factor here. Some are cheaper and have lousy results.) Don't email them; they'll never reply. You have to call and book an appointment. There are others in that area, but I have never checked them out. |

Just glancing quickly, I saw Nizoral and minoxidil (Rogaine) and there's probably other stuff as well.
My hair loss is pretty extensive so I tend to keep it super-short and go faux dome, but I'm going to ease in to using a few products and see what happens. I know 100% regrowth is impossible because I waited too long but maybe I can restore a bit and look a bit less like Jean-Luc Picard. |
Been there done that. The buzz cut is denial. Trust me from experience on that one. Ha ha. Not I have hair though still thin in the back, but much better than before. |

| Some people have experienced regrowth of hair via home remedies (various of them turn up after a Google or two) |
