Hi,

I just got an email back from the academic supervisor of YBM Premier Gangnam for an interview.

I'm about to reply back to him, but is suggesting next week for an interview OK still?

I'm going interstate for work for the next few days and would like some time to prepare for it... so I was hoping I could suggest either next Thurs or Fri for an interview.

Is this OK or should I be suggesting a much closer timeframe?

Thanks for your advice!

I'd avoid YBM Premiers. I had a friend who worked at the one in Jongno and he said that while it was a split shift, he had so much work to do that he was lucky if he could go home for an hour or two inbetween.

Not my experience. Split shifts sucked. However, at least 18 out of 20 days in the month I would go home pretty soon after my first block and have a 5-10 hour break until the next block. Definitely more than an "hour or two".

OP: I wouldn't put it off to next week. Usually they interview a number of candidates, and unless you're something amazing, or the others are terrible, they'll probably make a decision before you even get a chance.

Avoid YBM.

Their knowledge of teaching methodology is shocking.

Just have a look at the books they produce middle and high schools! Shocked

I think the OP was asking because next Monday and Wednesday are national holidays. Maybe easier to ask the company when they are going to be open. (Many closed the sandwich Tuesday.)
