 Posted: Thu Sep 27, 2012 4:04 am Post subject: How many times will the post office attempt delivery? |

| Just wondering. I'm expecting a package but I'm never home during the times they deliver. Will they just leave the package or will they need someone to receive it? |

In my experience they'll try once & leave a notice about when they'll try a second time. If that fails, they'll leave another notice advising you to pick it up at the post office.
Or if you're in a complex with guardhouse, they'll leave it there. Or if they sort of know you & you've been in the neighborhood a while, they might leave it at an adjacent shop. |

In general, no. There are some main branches that are open, but only a few and your package won't be there (unless that happens to be the one you live near). So, for your purposes, no. |
