Here's the answer to your question:

Galleria Foret in Seongsu-dong was the most expensive apartment in Seoul in the first half of this year. The list price of a 271 sq. m unit was about W5.5 billion, or W67 million per 3.3 sq. m. compared to W45 million at the time of its construction.

Last year, Mark-Hills in Cheongdam-dong topped the list with a 183.5 sq. m unit sold for W5 billion.

Galleria Foret, an apartment complex of 203 units spread over two 45-story buildings that opened in July 2011, took half of this year's top 10 list.

But in terms of sale prices per 3.3 sq. m Mark-Hills still outperformed Galleria Foret at W72 million, with one 192.86 sq. m unit selling for W4.1 billion this year.

According to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, apartments were the most expensive in Seongsu, Cheongdam and Samseong, while Hannam and Itaewon recorded the highest sale prices for townhouses and detached houses in the capital.

On a side note, you realize that you're seriously agitating edwardcatflap with what you wrote, right? He can't stand learning that there are more financially successful posters on here and he'll be here any second now to whine. He's stalked your posts in the past, and with this thread you might as well have asked why his manhood is so abnormally small.

Who's stalking now? And being rather juvenile into the bargain. With regards to the OP yes, this looks like another pretty thinly disguised attempt at bragging to me. He's renting an expensive flat but doesn't have any mates to invite round and impress with it so he's writing about in on Dave's. Perhaps you or other people see it differently. This kind of thing doesn't particularly agitate me but moves me to take the piss occasionally. Just as
you do. I assume now you'll take this as another opportunity to copy and paste those supposed quotes you have of mine stored on your hard drive.
And by the way, a guy who owns 6 cars accusing someone else of manhood size envy is a bit rich.

You don't seem to understand how stalking works edwardcatflap. I don't go around looking to respond to your posts. That's what you do. I was warning fustiancorduroy how you were now bound to butt in with your stalking. See the difference? And of course, right on cue you came in. You're very predictable.

First, you'll have to admanantly deny you said it, at which point I'll post it. Then you'll claim you were merely joking. Isn't that how it works edwardcatflap?

Having a lot of cars simply shows I'm a gearhead. If I had the money, I'd have a garage like Jay Leno or Jerry Steinfeld, who are fellow gearheads.

You on the other hand go around stalking and belittling those that make more money than you. That, comrade, is a serious p-envy problem.

I make fun of people occasionally who like to big themselves up. Usually the people I do this to, like you, will react badly and see it in a different light because they take themselves too seriously. That's why they're easy to take the piss out of in the first place.

That place looks nice but I'd prefer at least two floors, more bathrooms, a separate apartment for servants, wine cellar, separate room off the master bedroom for dressing, art gallery, conference room, private elevator, 360 degree views of the city.

But it's very sweet that you list a full sized fridge and bathtub as luxuries!

Thanks, madoka, for your answer. It was exactly the type of response I was looking for. I hadn't heard of Galleria Foret, but I know exactly which buildings they are. I thought those were office buildings, not apartments. Based on the information you wrote, it seems the apartment I linked in the original post is certainly among the most expensive in Seoul.

Hey, in Seoul those are luxuries, right? My apartment is okay, but it is by no means even close to one of the best. Hence, the topic of this thread.

Just wondering but did you try typing 'most expensive apartment in Seoul' into Google before starting this thread? Because if you had you would have found the exact same article Madoka posted as the first result. But then of course if you'd done that there would have been no need to tell us all how many bedrooms you've got and how nice your floor is would there?

Nope, I didn't because I try to get answers from humans directly rather than through Internet searches, if possible. You are more likely to get the correct answer that way, I feel. I would think that since you are such a gregarious person, Edward, that you would appreciate my approach, no? Smile

And I also wanted to share the fact that an apartment in Seoul has a monthly rental fee equivalent to Korea's GDP per person, which still leaves me jaw agape.

I point out the refrigerator and, especially, the bathtub because, after looking at around 100 apartments in Seoul, I know both of these things are not commonly featured in apartments in Seoul, so I'm fortunate to have found a place which does have them.

Still an apartment. And still in Korea.

Good for you, I hope you and your big fridge are very happy together.

And also well done for getting a lackey to do your internet searching for you.

My place in Incheon has a full-sized fridge and hard-wood floors, though it doesn't have a bathtub. My friends' place, a mere 15 minute walk away, has all 3. My place is by no means expensive.

I have a great rooftop apartment in HBC. Awesome view of Namsan. Kitchen right on the patio so I can cook outside. Detached bathroom so no worry about the smells. Since you have to go through the landlord's apartment to get up to mine I don't have to worry about burglars. A hole in the roof for collecting rainwater, so I don't even have to pay a water bill!
