This is my first Chuseok in Korea, are banks and the post office going to be closed this coming Monday? Thank you

Many shopping/entertainment places will be open, but banks, post office, things like that will be closed.

Yes, they will be closed and it wouldn't be the first time that individual banks have shut down their systems for an upgrade as well - making ATM withdraws impossible.

ATMs also have a habit of running out of cash over the holiday.

Have a supply of cash available to see you through the holiday break.

The IBK in Itaewon will be open on Saturday and Monday.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not in a rush, was just curious. Does everything open back up on Tuesday?

AFAIK, Tuesday is a normal banking day. But as others have said, it's a good idea to have a little cash on hand over holiday weekends just in case.

The Seoul subway will be on the Sunday schedule Saturday and Monday.

Tuesday is a normal banking day.

Wednesday they'll be closed again. Happy Sky Opening Day!
