just take the train. I guess 50 bucks but if during chuseok you could get stuck in traffic so it could cost 500 dollars. |

It's only 7 stops away by metro. Unless it's a travel after 11 at night or some kind of real emergency, it'd be more reasonable to get to Suwon proper by train first, and then cab in to whichever corner of Suwon you're trying to reach. Given the size of Suwon, that alone may as well cost you more than small changes. |

Taking the train to Songtan. Leaving around 1am, train will be closed by then.
I would try and work out a flat fee to avoid any traffic overages / charges. |

50 bucks sounds about right plus 20% more since its after midnight... near the Osan US army base? I'm sure you could find a cheap motel or something and just take the subway in the morning.. or stay up all night. |

Songtan to Suwon station approximately 35k. To other parts of Suwon upwards of 50k.
I live in Suwon and own a bar in Songtan, I've made that trip a few times. |

Ah, after midnight. Taxi all the way, then.
Not that this would be any relevant to you OP, but just for future reference, northbound long-distance passenger trains calling at Pyeongtaek and Suwon stations still run after midnight - i.e. 01:52, 02:35, 03:39 from Pyeongtaek station, 2600 Won for 20-minute ride. |

Nah - good one. It's another option if he's low on cash but has the time.
Taxi from Osan Air Base to Pyeongtaek Station will run around 15 or 16,000 won and then the train to Suwon Station if you can time it right for the 2,600. Might save 20,000 won....but will take a bunch longer.
And OP usually never any problem getting the taxis there to take you long distance. They'll usually use the meter, but probably would do a flat fee if you wanted. I've taken them from there to Incheon Airport before with no problem. |

So just returned home.
Got screwed by the taxi.
When we asked him how much he said meter. Then I was like about how much would that be and he was like 35K
So we hoped in. We live in Ingyedong and the meter was only like 22K when we arrived but he said 35K. We were like no meter ect.He keep insisting about how I said or he said 35K. I was like fug it and just gave it to him.
Next time using meter thats for sure. |
