| I'm trying to get a used iPhone 4s in the states and would like the ability to bring it to Korea, not using roaming, and set up a contract in Korea through KT, LG U+, SK etc. Does it matter what kind of iPhone I buy in the states? If it's been used on Verizon/AT&T/Sprint will it work? I went to an Apple store and asked and they said Korea uses GSM which I believe is false... so I don't believe that guy at the Apple store. Also I could probably jailbreak/unlock it though if I didn't have to that would be a big plus since that seems a bit shady. So techies what are my options? Thank you! |

| Iphone 4S works fine in Korea and you'll be able to setup service with SKT and KT. Iphone 4S is factory unlocked and works just as well in most Asian countries. |

| iPhone 4s are factory unlocked if you buy them factory unlocked originally. Otherwise they are carrier locked. |

Well then, you'll have to ask your carrier to unlock it before coming here. |
