Hello!

My friend lost his cellphone a few weeks ago in an orange taxi. We paid cash, so we didn't get a receipt. We also failed to note the license plate. In short, there has been no way for us to track the taxi.

My friend's phone didn't have a SIM card (long story), so I couldn't call it. My Kakao messages have gone unread.

I've been calling the 1644-2255 number for a few weeks now, hoping that it could be found, but as they can't track the taxi for me, my inquiries haven't been very productive.

So far they've been concentrating on tracking the taxi for me. Once I asked the agent what would happen if somebody did find the phone, where could he/she turn it in? Is there a lost and found number/office to call? The agent said she didn't know.

So here's the question: Is there a Lost and Found office I could call wherein honest people could turn in things found in the taxi?

The phone isn't that important, but there are pictures that I really want to recover.

Thanks for taking the time to read and for any help.

Thanks for the resource!

My Korean is pretty limited (almost non-existent, actually) and I did get a Korean friend to help me out, but I'm not actually sure if she just looked through the phone names or looked at what was being posted.

Is this a list of things found in taxis, or is this a place wherein someone who has lost something could post about finding it?

Thanks again!
