Perhaps it is a bit silly to make this thread, but I've been feeling bit isolated and really lonely as of late. I have seen threads about dnd groups in Seoul and Busan, but nothing in my area, Cheongju.
I'm not opposed to the occasional drink, but the bar scene isn't for me. To me, a good Friday night is going for a run before sitting down to play games, play piano or even watch a Starcraft 2 tournament. I'm looking for similarly minded people who like nerdy things.
I guess a bit about me. My name is Elise and I love ancient history, star trek (picard over kirk ^^), games like DDR, fallout, silent hill, watching bad fantasy movies, playing anime themes on piano, listening to science podcasts, and writing (landed a literary agent finally).
So if you don't mind geeking out with a shy bookworm like me let me know.^^ I have skype, aim, yahoo. |

Hi, just wondering if you would be willing to travel for DnD as I have all the books needed here (3.5). I had a DnD group going on in Changwon, but two of the players are leaving (we only got together to play three times too, so still a bit rusty). |

Too bad I'm not near there. The fact that you enjoy running would make it great to hang out with you but far more important than that is the fact your username tells me you are real cool chick. |

Hi micechasekittens.
I'm not sure, but i think you are me. Or I am you. Kinda weird to be reading a post and suddenly not be sure that I didn't write it. Reason? Cause with minor exceptions, we're into the same things completely!
Grew up on Star Trek (Picard over Kirk too!)
Science podcasts - I've met a few of the authors of some of them. DDR used to be into a lot before my knee gave me problems and I had to stop. Love fantasy anything. I also play piano and I ALSO enjoy playing anime music on it! Also gaming music.
I'm afraid I'm not much for ancient history, however I do enjoy playing World of Warcraft and I really get into the lore for it too. |

That sounds like fun just not sure how feasible such a commute would be. =( |

Thanks^^. I'm up to 36 miles a week (3 runs a week). I would like to do a marathon next year, perhaps the one in Seoul. |

Can't help you at all with your situation, but yes, definitely run a marathon. I did one a year ago and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Was going to do it again this year, but health issues arose over the summer. Definitely planning to do it in 2013 though! |

The first duty of every NET is to the truth, whether it's scientific truth or historical truth or personal truth! It is the guiding principle on which English is based! And if you can't find it within yourself to stand up and tell the truth about what happened, you don't deserve to wear that uniform! |
