|
|
Hi everyone,
I am moving from England to Daegu today! I'll be arriving at around 9pm on Wednesday which is not too far from the weekend. Can anyone currently in Daegu tell me what the best idea would be for going out to meet a load of expats? Where are the best places to get nicely drunk and party? I'm the sort of bloke who likes a long old party into the early hours, especially after a nice evening of getting slowly drunk with others. Anyone fancy showing me the ropes?
Any advice much appreciated |

| Don't get drunk your first night here. You're not acquainted with the culture enough to be drunk in downtown Daegu. You'll get lost and not have clue what to do when something your mind deems inappropriate but is culturally acceptable here. |

| Thanks for the advice, but with all due respect I think I will be getting drunk on my first night. I will almost definitely get lost I'm sure, that's why I asked if anyone wants to show me the ropes. Don't worry I'm not a lout. |

I've only been to Daegu once, and that was two years ago. It was only my second month being in Korea, to be exact. I was drunk out of my mind and lost, and it was a good night.
I don't know where all the hotspots were, but me and my friend went to the downtown area. Tons of foreigners. |

You're English all right. I've only been to Daegu once, and I also got very lost. I'd say check out a place called MF/My favourite bar, there were tons of expats there but there were loads just walking around so you'll meet someone easy. Around the corner there's a kebab shop (Stars?) so you'll feel right at home! |

| What ever you do get your home address written in Korean and English, plus phone numbers of colleagues. Also make sure your card works at the cashpoints. |
