|
|
My company has recently gone down the tube, so I've secured a new position. I have a letter of release and am picking up my ARC on Wednesday. I know I will have to transfer my E2 to my new employer, but I was wondering if I need all new documents to do so (background check, diploma, health check, etc.)? If so, can I request the old ones from immigration (I'm moving from Suwon to Seoul) and will they give them to me?
Also, my husband is here with me and will need to get an F3 visa. The whole issue with my school closing has greatly delayed us getting this and he only has a month left until his 30 days expires. Can anyone tell me if we will be able to get him the visa in time or will he have to leave the country?
Thank you! |

You don't need new paperwork, and I assume he can apply along with you, no? Did you ask immigration? |

I asked Suwon immigration, but they didn't have an answer. Hopefully it will be easier now that I am in Seoul. |

I am also very curious of the answers to these questions.
I too have almost completed a year's contract in Suji and I'm trying to find out what I need to gather to move to another company in Seoul. I've already been working for 8 months and my contract is up in February. I would like to stay working in Korea, but change jobs. Do I still need to get another Background check, health check, apostilled diploma?
Btw, to reply to the OP's original question. I think your husband can get a special visa my friend told me about once. Its called a "looking for work" visa. I cant remember the actual number of the visa, but a buddy of mine that worked for the same hagwon as me got one to extend his stay in Korea after his contract was completed.
Hope this helps. |
