|
|
Hey guys, I'm thinking of shipping some clothes from home (coz of sizing and cost issues, it's difficult to get the specific stuff I want here), has anyone done that before and had to pay import duties?
Coz I have read that the max value for personal use is not to exceed 150,000won? How strict are they about this? And how on earth would they estimate the cost of clothes?
Thanks! |

USED clothes shipped from home = non issue.
New clothes shipped by a retailer = stickler for the numbers and the 150k includes the shipping costs. Not only do you get hit with the import tax and VAT but you get hit with services fees as well.

Take off the tags and write "used clothes" for the items. Then, write less than 150,000W for the value. |

Great to know that they don't bother with used clothes. I'm not gonna order from a retailer to be shipped directly here coz I can imagine that the cost will be clearly declared! Thanks! |
