I have some bean questions
1. What kind of beans are native to Korea and widely used in Korean foods?
2. What kind of imported beans are available? |

Off the top of my head...
Korean cuisine uses soybeans, small black beans, and round white ones, that are usually sold dry. They are generally mixed with rice before it is cooked. The black ones are sometimes made into a side dish. Koreans usually eat their beans when they are still crunchy.
You can also get imported cans of chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, cannelini beans, and chili-style beans. Costco probably has more varieties than that, but those are the ones I can find at Homeplus or EMart.

I think you might mean Red beans. The most important bean on the face of the earth is the Pinto Bean that is used in New Mexico cooking. Nothing tastes like a Pinto Bean. Do they have Pinto beans in Korea? |

I've often seen beans that look just like pinto beans--I can't say whether or not they actually are the exact same thing, but based only on appearance, I'd say yes. |
