Screen needs to be replaced (been quoted W100,000)

Don't use it that much any more (as only used it for travelling) so not willing to fork out that much.

Cost W450,000 18 months ago ........

how about W60,000 ? The screen is still visible on one half so I can happily demonstrate it is still in full working order

cheers

ed, what's the model number and other info? Specs? HDD? I might be interested.

Is this an Atom machine? Single or Dual core? Any idea about graphics chipset?

BTW: If you're not sure what's all on it, you can go to www.speccy.com and run that free program to learn everything you have there.

Hmm.. Speccy seems to be making a slight mistake on the specs. The N450 is not compatible with DDR3 memory. The N455 is. The more important information I needed was the graphics, and you gave me that. Unfortunately, it will not meet my needs to drive the external monitor I have.

Just as an FYI, if someone has something like a 32" TV (not a computer monitor, which would need higher native resolution), you could run VGA out to it and have a cheap/low power home theater PC for stuff at 720p and below. That chip should run at 1366x768 to an external TV via VGA (but not anything higher, reliably). You'd just have to run audio out of the earphone jack to some external speakers.
